PAARDCAFÉ: Sprokkelhout & Vikings in Tibet

SprokkelhoutSprokkelhout is a Dutch band from Groningen. They make Alternative rock greatly influenced by countless bands, including Pixies, dEUS, Modest Mouse, Radiohead and Explosions in the Sky.The 5 young fellows share the same love for experimenting with sound and listening to music that is not your everyday radio tune. The band started in the fall of 2011. Since then they’ve played a large variety of shows, including Eurosonic 2014 and Vera, Groningen. No two shows have been the same from Sprokkelhout. They have a loose vibe on stage, constantly play new songs and revise old songs. Fun, improvisation and experimenting are always of the highest importance. Vikings in TibetAfter a number of separate projects, the Gooskens Brothers decided to make music together. Starting with bedroom recording...sessions in their hometown Groningen, they soon gathered some friends around them and formed “Vikings in Tibet.”The band’s first EP (Petrichor EP) was released in September 2013 and includes five dreamy popsongs.
