Kern Koppen is a hip hop group from The Hague that was formed by creative minds Ahab, Ki en Tommy 2 Times. Kern Koppen deals with contemporary issues and does so in a very cheeky and wayward manor. This is recognized in their music and of course in their cleverly found and often bold lyrics. These three guys have a distinctive sound that is characterized by the clean combination of live instruments, samples and digital effects. This new style is sometimes playfully called Cross-over Cult-rap, but it is certainly no kids play creating this unique and innovative sound within the rap-scene that often downgrades into stereotypes and clichés. Their in-your-face lyrics and personal stories will have you awestruck for the rest of the night.
