Freddie Gibbs is a man of the street: listen to his vicious, sharp lyrics and you can imagine how his childhood must have been. Yet, he does not fear to use humor and with this attitude, the rapper has worked himself up to stardom in America and beyond.

Gibbs has a lot of interesting hiphop friends in his contact list and is regularly working with them in the studio: collaborations with Raekwon, 2Chainz, Earl Sweatshirt, Mac Miller, Juicy J, Young Yeezy and Daz Dinlinger are not uncommon. He spent the last few years releasing a load of mixtapes, including the well received “Baby Face Killa ‘(2012) and” ESGN’ (2013). Earlier this year, he launched his long awaited album ‘Piñata’: a collaboration with J. Dilla’s protège Madlib. A great promise for the future, according to Rolling Stone, Pitchfork and The Guardian.

Freddie Gibbs is a rapper made on the American streets and his star is rising: collaborations, a new album and a massive tour schedule. This evening Dion Masé, Pro-X and the Raw Bros are representing the NL hip hop!

‘A ferocious rapper who can break your heart when you’re not expecting it. He’s the real thing.’ – Pitchfork
