CLAUDIO BARONI: URSAE MINORIS

Claudio F. Baroni studied piano, sonology and contemporary music in his home country Argentina and founded the Ensemble Hallowe’en in Buenos Aires. Soon the talented and versatile musician moved to The Netherlands to study Music Composition at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. Baroni received several assignments and collaborated with Slagwerkgroep Den Haag, MAE Ensemble, Model062m Champ d’Action, Barton Workshop and many others. Since 2009 he has been working on a series of experimental operas, such as Balthasar (2010) and Karada (2015).Ursae Minoris  Solo VII-Ursae Minoris for upright bass and electro (2014-2015) has been written by Dario Calderone. The piece consists of different parts and is based on the map of constellation Ursa Minor.
