VESSEL: Container. Ship. Transport

A series of very special concerts from national and international underground artists for a select public at undiscovered locations in the city. Every location is used only one time: VESSEL is now or never. The concerts are raw, pure and unpolished: VESSEL isn’t perfect, VESSEL is real. VESSEL is recorded, captured and broadcasted.

This edition of VESSEL takes place in Bleyenberg’s underground club: het Magazijn.

STUFF.

The name of the band already indicates it is hard to describe their music. Is it raw, progressive hip hop? Is it futuristic dubstep? Is it funky or do we call this free-jazz? Whatever it is, it is extremely catchy. Their live shows are an unbelievable spectacle with incredible beats, swirling improvisations, evil synth screams and ‘’alien’’ grooves. The comparison with beatmakers as Flying Lotus, Hudson Mohawke and Dorian Concept isn’t simply made up. STUFF. uses samples and loops as a frame for their improvisations from among other J Dilla’s, Angie Stone’s soul grooves masterpieces, Kraftwerk and Africa Bambaataa static beats.

“ STUFF. weet het publiek als geen andere band momenteel volledig te veroveren met niet voor de hand liggende maar juist daarom super opwindende, heerlijk heen en weer stuiterende, muziek en ook nog eens gespeeld met grote klasse, kundigheid en optimaal spelplezier. “
