The funk is back! The Brand New Heavies, one of the 90s most loved soul/funk bands are back on tour, celebrating 30 years of grooves. Original band members Sy Bartholemew, Andrew Lewy and singer Angela Ricci will be hitting the road to perform their unique sound of rare groove, funk, pop and fusion. The trio plays favourites such as ‘Dream on Dreamer’, ‘Back To Love’ and ‘You’ve Got A Friend’, along with their new studio album TBNH in its entirety.

Led by founder members Andrew Levy and Simon Bartholomew, were at the head of emergent London acid-jazz movement in the late 80s/early 90s. Their debut single, the celebrated club classic Got To Give found a home at Chrysalis Records before the band signed to Acid Jazz Records in 1989, quickly releasing the self-titled debut album which was then picked up in the US by the legendary hip-hop label Delicous Vinyl. This led to a collaboration with A Tribe Called Quest, winning a MTV-Award and the album Heavy Rhyme Experience.

The debut went gold in the UK and its follow ups both went platinum, in the procces the scored 16 Top 40 hits including Dream Come True, Stay This Way, Midnight At The Oasis, Sometimes and Dream on Dreamer.
