QUIET HOLLERS

Sunday 2 June 2024 2024

Shape-shifting Kentucky outfit Quiet Hollers’ music connects with listeners around depression, anxiety, grief, and addiction, nodding to a wide range of influences across the spectra of alt. country, indie rock, punk, and what they have coined “post americana.” Formed by its songwriter Shadwick Wilde in the early 2010’s, the group has announced work on their fifth LP, Loud Mountains, a painfully self-aware retrospective on a decade of fighting through mental illness and the music industry.

Support: JesperJesper
The four-member band JesperJesper was founded by Jesper Albers, whom you might know as the drummer of the rock bands Paceshifters, Mozes And The Firstborn, and the Australian band Wolfmother. This time, he takes on the role of singer/guitarist. With their infectious live shows, the band from Zwolle demonstrates that having fun is a top priority. Their alt-country sound with touches of 90’s indie rock evokes comparisons to acts like Ryan Adams and The Replacements, with forays into the rootsy music of Neil Young. Following a successful Popronde tour and numerous other shows, their debut EP ‘Keep An Eye Out’ was released in November 2023 on the Goomah Music label. New music is in the works, and they can often be seen live this year!
