With label and collective Wilde Westen, Mula was one of the first to introduce the trap genre in the Netherlands. His mixtape D&G (2016, in collaboration with LouiVos) reached cult status and has since become one of the most defining albums within the Dutch hip-hop scene. With the four studio albums that followed and multi-platinum hits such as Bandolero, Fully Fendi and Faktap Broeder, Mula proved his lasting impact. Collaborations with artists such as S10, Frenna, Goldband, Sticks and Lijpe prove his versatility without ever compromising on authenticity and originality.
His album Narcopop, released in 2023, was praised as the Best Dutch-language Hip-Hop Album of the year. In 2024, Narcopop was awarded an Edison for what the jury report called a “boundary-pushing album.” This was followed by a tour of sold-out venues, leading festival performances, and a sold-out AFAS Live show, where he put the stage in the middle of the room. Just as successful was his earlier PAARD360 show in 2025.
