ELMER

Sharp Dutch pop that pushes boundaries and makes you laugh

Saturday 31 October 2026

With humor, self-mockery and razor-sharp lyrics, Elmer deliberately plays with expectations around gender, sound and appearance, putting norms under a magnifying glass. Her shameless performance feels like a long-awaited breath of fresh air in the Dutch music scene. In 2021 Elmer broke through when her track Je Vader went viral. She subsequently appeared at festivals such as Lowlands, Pukkelpop and ESNS, and in 2025 won an Edison for ‘Best Newcomer’. She wrapped up her club tour Platland at the end of 2024 with a sold-out show at Paradiso, before touring the country again in 2025.

MAN, OH MAN!
In 2026, Elmer opens a new chapter with a brand-new album, created with producer Wesley Fransen (Keenan Mundane), and a completely renewed live show. The album revolves around a versatile and socially relevant theme: men. Not a pamphlet of statements, but a personal exploration of masculinity in all its forms, contradictions and shortcomings. In the new songs, criticism rubs against affection and aversion collides with recognition. Elmer observes, names and laughs, sparing no one in the process. Least of all herself.

On stage, Elmer appears as a washed-up crooner in a smoky jazz club setting. The show moves between confrontation and tenderness, where love and reckoning exist side by side. No redemption, but a hand on your shoulder and space to doubt.
