The shows with which Zuiderwijk and Heck, according to the drummer, won’t be the same night twice. “Jean-Paul is also used to being on stage because he’s been doing shows with his own band for several years. But what’s so fun is that he always manages to surprise me with different questions and topics, which keeps it fun and challenging for me as well.” According to Heck, all sorts of things come up in the College Tour Cesar: The Story of a Drummer. “Cesar is a fantastic storyteller. He has a sense of humor, but he can also be very serious and intellectual. That’s what makes him so special, and in this show he mostly shows that he is much more than just that amazing drummer from Golden Earring who wanted to conquer the world from a young age.”

Cesar Zuiderwijk returns to theaters and music venues with his most personal show yet. Together with writer and journalist Jean-Paul Heck, he shows the unfiltered side of himself in Het verhaal van een drummer. Of course, Cesar will share plenty of anecdotes and stories that evening, but it won’t stop there. He’s keeping a bit of mystery about it. “I will definitely do something with a drum set, but in away people aren’t used to from me.” The legendary drummer from The Hague wraps up his tour with this evening!
