DE KIFT

Thursday 22 October 2020 2020

We will do our best to allow as much of the current program as possible to continue in an appropriate manner. This means that we have to discuss the new situation with each artist. As soon as there is clarity, ticket buyers will receive an email about the definitive plan for the concert or event. We ask for some patience from the ticket buyers. We do our very best to provide information to everyone as soon as possible, but it may take a while for things to be clear.

Please note that this is a Dutch speaking Program

The many-headed, poetic fanfare punk band De Kift is a welcome guest in PAARD. Full of boundless energy, intimacy, melancholy and euphoria. A mega-beautiful mix of magnetizing music, with Dutch lyrics composed from world literature. October 22nd in PAARD.

With the summer sun in its sight, this many-headed orchestra with fourteen brand new, festive dance, waltz and mourning songs will soon release a new album ‘Hoogriet’. Together with old and new friends, this 12th (!) album marks the time when all the sources of inspiration from the past three decades converge for De Kift.

Water Cradle Me – a musical ode to sadness De Kift, and in particular their frontman Ferry Heijnen, plays a major role in the documentary ‘Water Wieg Me’. It was shown at IDFA in 2019 and can be seen on Saturday 4 April in Het Uur van de Wolf, at 11:05 pm on NPO 2. De Volkskrant wrote: A beautiful documentary to keep the courage up in tragic times. The narrators of the sad stories are certainly feeling better. The Rover appropriately ends the sadness with the exuberant partying, partying, partying!

Safe concert visit in PAARD
We want to continue as much as possible of the current program in an adapted manner. We do this in the safest way possible and within government regulations. For this concert it means that a maximum of 30 people can be present who can visit the PAARD. Of course, our (strict) 1.5m measures that have already been implemented will remain in force. There are also a number of new rules: mouth masks are mandatory in the building (except on the seat). PAARD’s catering industry is closed, but visitors are allowed to consume their own water. We hope that everyone will continue to do their very best with us to comply with the measures within and outside PAARD. For more information click here.
