The American rock band Thelonious Monster was formed in the early eighties. In the same scene as Jane’s Addiction and Red Hot Chili Peppers, the band gradually became more famous and famous. The 1992 album A Beautiful Mess is probably the band’s best-known work. With songs like ‘Body And Soul?’ and ‘Adios Lounge’ (with Tom Waits) gained a lot of fans and a decent live reputation at the time. Later Josh Klinghofer also joined the band, the guitarist who in recent years mainly caused a furore as the guitarist of Red Hot Chili Peppers, is now working with Forrest again and is one of the driving forces of the band. The new record Oh That Monster, which will be released on November 3, is their best work yet, according to the band.

One of the most iconic moments in the band’s existence is without a doubt the Pinkpop performance in 1993 where singer Bob Forrest climbs to the roof of the stage in an all-out drug / alcohol mania. The images of the singer in a Bob Dylan shirt are unprecedentedly historic. Fortunately the singer has been doing a lot better for a while now. Forrest runs a rehab in Los Angeles and has said goodbye to drugs forever.
