2019 was all about Anneke’s 25th anniversary as an artist. She celebrated this with two sold-out shows in the Effenaar, in her home town Eindhoven. In that year, Anneke was also awarded the Buma ROCKS! Export Award in recognition and appreciation for her success abroad. Her solo album The Darkest Skies Are The Brightest was released in early 2021. In the fall of 2021, Anneke participated in the popular television program Beste Zangers, in which she made a big impression. Now she is entering the stage through a collaboration with the Residentie Orkest. Her songs through time are conveyed on this evening in a spectacular and emotional way.

On November 26, Anneke van Giersbergen and Het Residentie Orkest will perform their unique collaboration in PAARD. Singer Anneke van Giersbergen has one of the most sensitive yet powerful voices in the Netherlands. She is known as the front woman of The Gathering, but is now having a successful solo career for many years. That she is a musical shapeshifer is apparent from the collaboration with artists such as Devin Townsend, the Icelandic folk group Árstíðir, Within Temptation and BLØF. In addition, millions of people have been hearing her voice for years in the Efteling attraction Baron 1898.
