  • GILLA BAND

Since 2011, singer Dara Kiely, guitarist Alan Duggan, bassist Daniel Fox and drummer Adam Faulkner have joined forces to form the critically acclaimed Gilla Band, formerly known as Girl Band. Dublin’s tasteful Post-Punk Noise Rock has not gone unnoticed; Pitchfork awarded the band an 8.0 for the debut album and Crack Magazine gave it a 9/10. The Guardian called the latter album “a turbulent masterpiece”. And if that wasn’t enough, Radio 6 DJ Mary Anne Hobbs said about the band: ‘one of the biggest comebacks of the year’.

  • Sniester presents: THE BUG CLUB

Cheerful Indie rock-pop, lo-fi post-punk funk or, as they call it themselves, ”Belle And Sebastian on speed”. This trio from Wales knows better than anyone how to process subjects such as love, the universe or loneliness in a way that is anything but heavy. About a year ago ‘Green Dream In F#’ was released, a humorous album where the chords can be counted on one hand. Yet it sounds anything but simple; the trio explores the boundaries of song structures. ‘The plan was to get as much done as possible with as few people as possible.’ A must-see for fans of Courtney Barnett and The Velvet Underground, or think of The Cool Greenhouse and KEG.

  • SANS SOUCIS

Literally translated it means ‘Without Worries’. That describes Congolese-Italian singer-songwriter Giulia Grispino perfectly. She got the nickname as a child from her grandmother who called her an ‘easy child’. Her parents raised her on a diet of Madonna, Celine Dion and Whitney Houston, although they were also surrounded by classical music, especially the music of Luciano Pavarotti, her grandfather’s favorite singer. Danceable bass synths, vibrant pop melodies and her warm rich voice give you a nostalgic return to your own youth. Comparisons with Little Dragon, Joni Mitchell and Solange are certainly appropriate here!

  • THE KIFFNESS

The Kiffness is the stage name of South African producer David Scott. Protest songs, political parodies and remixes that go viral. He previously went viral with a remix by Levan Polkka, a remake of The Wellerman and Ukrainian folk songs. With two million YouTube subscribers and millions of views, The Kiffness’s reach extends far beyond South Africa. The Kiffness was also nominated three times for a South African Music Award.

  • MAURINO

Have you ever seen mosh pit at a Latin concert? When MAURINO is on stage anything is possible. The Chilean Amsterdammer plays with the energy of his audience like no other. No concert without a stage dive. And his socially critical Spanish lyrics are always spot on. MAURINO will forever be known as the brain behind Fiesta Macumba, the largest Latin party in the Netherlands with its own tent at Lowlands. He will also enter the books as the frontman and singer-songwriter of the band TenTemPiés, with whom he performed in a sold-out Paradiso for the last time.

    One thing is certain; party.

  • PEER

PEER plays infectious pop rock with an edge and draws inspiration from bands such as Nothing But Thieves and The Neighbourhood. Shortly after the release of their debut EP, PEER played international shows in England and Asia. After releasing their first album, the band from Zeeland kicked off their first headline club tour in a sold-out Paradiso Amsterdam.

  • ROOS BLUFPAND

Support act for De Dijk, a Duet with Paul De Munnik and collaborations with Tangerine and Caro Emerald; Roos Blufpand is going fast! The contemporary Roos Blufpand makes Dutch danceable electropop. Perfect for people who, like Roos, don’t like to sit still.

  • SASKIA CLARKE

From an early age, Saskia Clarke knew how to communicate through art and music. She reorganizes her thoughts, translates meanings of her emotions and shares the beauty of finding happiness in small things. Wrap these themes in a coat of Neosoul and R&B and you arrive at the exciting music of Saskia Clarke. A must-see for fans of Jorja Smith, KAYTRANADA and SAULT!
