NEW COOL COLLECTIVE

It all starts in 1993 in the Amsterdam Soul Kitchen, where Benjamin Herman and DJ Graham B are on stage together. While Graham B is spinning records, Benjamin is playing. A unique combination. Ultimately, this leads to the eight-piece New Cool Collective, with which the band has played countless times in the hippest clubs and festivals around the world, in the permanent 8-piece line-up or as a 19-piece big band. In recent years, NCC has also collaborated with Tony Allen, Mapacha Africa, Andrew Roachford, Jules Deelder, Typhoon, Guus Meeuwis, Matt Bianco, Thierno Koité and Georgie Fame. On September 28th, 2022, New Cool Collective will be in PAARD.

In 2021 the new album by New Cool Collective will be released, for which the band is currently in the studio.

New Cool Collective consists of saxophonist Benjamin Herman, guitarist Rory Ronde, drummer Joost Kroon, percussionists Frank van Dok and Jos de Haas, keyboardist Willem Friede, bassist Leslie Lopez and trumpeter David Rockefeller.

This concert is a collaboration with ProJazz.

PAARD50 // 21 – 30 October
PAARD celebrates it’s 50th birthday in 2022 and we will honor that with a spectacular party week in October: PAARD50. From October 21, till October 30 – during PAARD50 – we will celebrate PAARD of the past, PAARD of the future and especially PAARD NOW.
