SØWT operates from the heart of the Dutch underground music scene. Martijn Claessens, Jesse van Eiken, Koen Verhees and Danielle Warners are making waves as musicians, sound engineers, concert organizers and artists. They are amongst the current generation of young guardians to monumental squad ‘t Stroomhuis; a rare refuge for creative souls that has functioned as such for 20 years already. The band self-released their tape Junkie’s Boneyard in 2018 and in 2023 the band presented their first LP Kids Hurting Kids together with Bagdaddy Records. 2024 started with a bang as the band crossed the ocean for their first UK tour and in February they’ll release their new EP “Things That Rhyme with Pain”

The world is filling up with trash. Humanity remains addicted to pollution despite the planetgetting hotter by the minute. People are downing horse dewormerbecause some goober ontelevision told them it cured COVID. Tom Herman of pioneeringavant garageband Pere Ubustill doesn’t have his own Wikipedia article. The apocalypse, it seems, is stupider than anyonecould’ve predicted.
Fortunately, the absurdities of modern life have always been prime subject matter for Seattle-based band Mudhoney. The foursome take aim at all of them with barbed humor and muck-encrusted riffs onPlastic Eternity, their 11th studio album. On August 31st, this iconic band will play at PAARD.
