The fundamental rhythms of cumbia and música tropical

During their very first visit to Europe, right after their performance at Fiestas de la Hispanidad in Spanje, the authentic Colombian latin band Los Cumbia Stars will be coming to The Hague to fill our venue with the fundamental rhythms of cumbia and música tropical on the 13th of October. The band features eight musicians, with on the center stage, leading cumbia singer Cristina Escamilla, and composer, guitarist, and accordionist Juan Pablo Acosta.
The relatively young project from Medellín, signed to the legendary label Discos Fuentes, has already racked up 130 live performances in its nine years of existence, including the Rosario Castellanos Festival in Chiapas, Pirarucú de Oro in Leticia, and the New Orleans International Jazz Festival. Among their four studio albums and two live albums are two Grammy-nominated works: Baila Kolombia and Los Cumbia Stars vol. 2, both recognized in the Best Cumbia/Vallenato Album category.
