Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry is one of the most influential artists from the history of reggae music. This King of Reggae has been announced to come to our town, but he won’t be coming alone this time: he’ll be sharing the stage with no one less than ‘dubner in crime’ Mad Professor!

The 81 year-old Jamaican is also known as the founding father of reggae and dub. Scratch has worked with many big names within the music industry, among whom were George Clinton, Max Romero and Bob Marley.

Mad Professor, who goes by the name of Neil Fraser as well, gets his nickname from tinkering with electronic devices. When he was just 10 years old, he already built his own radio and a phone.

Later in his life, Mad Professor became famous for his unique stye in music production and remixes. It didn’t take long for him to be regarded as the best producer in dub and he managed to keep the genre relevant in the digital age. Co-productions with Sly and Robbie, Johnny Clake Pato Banton and Jah Shaka have been checked on his to-do list a long time ago.

September 17th will be the big day that you can finally see these two grandmasters perform together.
