J. Bernardt

Bernardt is the new solo project of Jinte Deprez, who is also known as one of the frontman’s of the Belgic band Balthazar. Just because Balthazar took a break didn’t mean that the band members themselves did the same. On the contrary, more than half the band chose to try their luck with a solo project. Colleague frontman Maarten Devoldere did it under the alias Warhaus and bass player Simon Cassier did the same under the name Zimmerman. Now it’s time for Jinte to go solo. The first record will be released later on this year.

Under his new alias, Deprez takes on an adventure while experimenting with synths. It results in catchy songs with warm synthesizer sounds and warm, dark vocals. The first single Calm down sounds like a version of the minimalistic R&B beats of artists like Chet Faker, SOHN and Jack Garratt.

LGHTNNG
Without sounding a little outdated, LGHTNNG is a 3 headed electro pop group inspired by the 80s pop culture. The trio makes danceable, dark but hopeful and almost nostalgic pop songs. The songs are influenced by acts like Chromatics, Shura en M83. Before they were invited to tour with J. Bernardt, they already were the support act for bands like Marina And The Diamonds and Aurora.
