In 2016 the band released their first single and from that moment on the mystery of who the members were was huge. Every fan wanted to know who where behind the synthdriven music. The mystery kept on existing. In 2018 the two singles ‘Verloren’ and ‘Jerney’ (an ode to the Earth & Fire singer, Jerney Kaagman) were released. That was the moment in wich the band introduced itself to the public. The trio appeared to be Pascal Pinkert, Timothy Francis en Aniek de Rooij. From that moment on the hype became even bigger and in 2019 the debutalbum Duistre Kamers came out. From that moment on De Ambassade is a favourite in the Dutch cultscene.

The music made by De Ambassade sounds like a throwback to the eighties. But mostly in Dutch. New wave and darkwave referring to the likes of Joy Division and Depeche Mode. Melodies with dark synths, hulking basslines and echoing drumcomputers. Since the debut in 2016 the band is a favourite of elektro and wave fans. That’s why the band played festivals like ADE, Grauzone and Noorderslag. On December fourth the band will play in PAARD.
