Dublin singer/songwriter Ciara Sidine’s much-anticipated follow up album Unbroken Line was released in September 2017. it is the follow up album to her critically acclaimed debut Shadow Road Shining. Dubbed ‘Celtic Americana’, Sidine’s sound is inspired by the roots of American music and by her own Irish musical upbringing. Compared variously to Emmylou Harris, Maria McKee and, closer to home, Mary Black and Maura O’Connell, Ciara has received as much attention for her fine singing voice as for her melodies and poetic, emotionally resonant lyrics. She has appeared on Other Voices, at Celtic Connections and toured in Ireland and Holland. She will be accompanied by guitarist Conor Brady, who’s known from the Dublin group The Blades.

Ciara is also well known in the Dublin literary scene. As a foremost editor in the book publishing industry (Ciara Considine), she has worked with many of its leading writers and personalities over two decades including John Banville, Tana French and Joe Duffy. She describes her feminist politics as central to her creativity, and numerous of the songs on her upcoming album reflect that, exploring themes of choice and bodily autonomy, mother and baby homes, love and equality.

“ Americana with an unmistakably Celtic feel to its poetic lyrics and confident vocals. “
