In the category: the best our neighbours of the south have to offer, Black Box Revelation! These Belgian garagerockers, who were compared to The Rolling Stones by The New York Times, are not new to Paard. In 2016 we welcomed them to our poptemple as the opener of Seasick Steve. This time the gentlemen will climb the stage as the headliner of the night. Rightly so, ofcourse: the band is all grown-up now and in their country they sell out the AB with ease.

In 2018 their newest album ‘Tattooed Smiles’ was released. The Belgian press received the album with open arms and it received a four star-review from ‘De Morgen’ (A Belgian platform). The sounds of the songs change a bit more of musical colour than we were used to; they now gracefully mix pop with indie on their Black Box Revelation palette.  But, no worries: early fans will not be dissapointed during gigs because their unadulterated bluesrock meets British invasion-sound is also there to be heard.

“ ''Hun jeugdige speelplezier is nog springlevend, maar nu eveneens aangekleed door ervaring, twijfels, verlangen en eindigheid.'' “
