“We are not happy having to write this email, but due to the situation that happened in France a couple of days ago, and continuing threats possibly to London and who knows where else, the band thinks it is the best interest of safety to postpone this tour for now. Also that it may not be the best time to have a fun concert with all of this going on. They are very upset that this has to happen and feel horrible as everyone does about the loss of innocent lives of music fans just going out to have fun, but when the attack was at a concert with an American band it makes you think there may be other possibilities that it could happen again. Although it is a very slim chance, there is still that chance and at this time I think this whole situation has to calm down some and give the governments time to sort out their strategies on containing these murderers. We think the promoters will completely understand this and hope we can work something out at a later date when everybody can feel a little better about it. We know there are other tours cancelling for this same reason, Foo Fighters, U2, Deftones among them, so our hope is that everyone will understand the reasons behind this and we can work together at a later date. The band was very excited to come over and do these shows, we had the flights all paid for and now we will have to eat the cost of the changes for those, so I just want you both to understand this decision did not come easily. It took a couple of days of conversations before the decision was made. Please let us know your thoughts, and once again we are very sorry this has to happen knowing all the work that has been put into it. “

Voorprogramma: The Bud Spencer Rock Explosion.
Wat krijg je als je vier doorgewinterde rocksterren in een band zet? Precies: een kick ass all-star band. Wally Palmar van The Romantics, Clem Burke van Blondie, Elliot Easton van The Cars en Andy Babiuk van The Chesterfield Kings vormen samen de Empty Hearts.
Met een enorme dosis aan passie voor rock ’n roll en ervaring om u tegen te zeggen, staat de show van The Empty Hearts als een huis. Het is dan ook niet gek dat Amerika en Japan al helemaal warm lopen voor deze band, Europe next? De band speelt eigen nummers maar ook de hits van o.a. Blondie en The Romantics.
Bud Spencer Rock Explosion
De Bud Spencer Rock Explosion is een band uit het oosten van Nederland. De naam doet het al vermoeden; ‘Exploderende’ rocksongs, gecombineerd met ‘country hickups’ en zelfs wat polka hier en daar; alles kan vanavond gebeuren. Nummers over alledaagse zaken, gemixt met eenvoudige rock ’n roll. Klinkt niet bijzonder? Vergis je niet: juist de eenvoud werkt zo effectief en explosief. Tijd voor een feestje!
