Wie dacht dat het rocksprookje van Pavlov’s Dog al tot een einde was gekomen, schudden we bij deze even wakker: de in ’72 opgerichte progrock-groep komt op 8 april naar Paard van Troje voor een psychedelische trip down memory lane.

Als er één band is die de titel ‘uniek’ verdient, dan is het Pavlov’s Dog wel. Met hits als ‘Julia’ en ‘Song Dance’ maakte de Amerikaanse band in de jaren ‘70 furore binnen de progrock. Handelsmerk is het excentrieke stemgeluid van David Surkamp, dat dicht in de buurt komt van Geddy Lee (Rush) – nasaal met een smekende snik, een gi-gan-tisch bereik en een krachtige kippenvelvibrato. Verwacht een avond vol zwoele doch energieke symfo-rock met een melancholiek randje, in de stijl van King Crimson, Yes en Genesis.
