Na een razend snel uitverkochte tour in december 2025 keert John Illsley terug naar Nederland. De oprichter en bassist van Dire Straits speelt vier exclusieve shows ter ere van de muziek van de band: van Money for Nothing en Walk of Life tot Brothers in Arms, Sultans of Swing en Romeo and Juliet. Een zeldzame kans om Dire Straits live te horen, gespeeld door een van de originele leden.
Helaas moeten we mededelen dat dit concert is geannuleerd. John Illsley liet het volgende bericht voor zijn fans achter:
To my dear music fans,
It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce the cancellation of my upcoming shows in the Netherlands and Germany. I’ve been dealing with ongoing health issues and my doctors have advised me to rest and take time to recover. This has been an incredibly difficult decision. There is nothing I love more than being on stage and sharing music with you, and I’m truly sorry to disappoint everyone who was looking forward to these shows. Thank you for your understanding, patience and support. I never take this for granted.
I promise I’ll be back when the time is right. Until then, please take care of yourselves. I’ll see you down the road.
