Talent has no boundaries for Dutch singer-songwriter Wende, who has enjoyed one of the most remarkable musical careers seen in the Benelux countries in recent years. As a fresh graduate from the Amsterdam Theatre School, in 2004 Wende released her debut album of brilliant interpretations of a repertoire of French chansons, supported by the renowned Metropole Orchestra. Since that moment, she has been one of Holland’s most respected singers.

Wende developed herself to one of the most versatile artists and performers of the Netherlands. Whether she sang pop, elektro, classic or contemporary music or starred in a film: never did she fail to touch her audience deeply. When telling stories, Wende is at her best.

For her new show, Wende approached authors and artists such as Dimitri Verhulst, Arnon Grunberg and Typhoon to write new songs and stories about what is means to our generation to be human. An era in which we seem to be individuals more than ever and fears and questions regularly pop up. MENS is about fear, loneliness, quests and love, an intimate and surprising but confronting trip through life. A life full of miniature tales.
