WATER FROM YOUR EYES

Palpitating rhythms and absurdist lyrics

Wednesday 15 November 2023 8380

The duo Water From Your Eyes will come to the PAARD on 15 November. Rachel Brown and Nate Amos started making music together in 2016. Over the years, Water From Your Eyes’ music evolved into heavier and less conventional sounds. For their new album ‘Everyone’s Crushed‘ the two have worked together the most, for them it feels like a debut record.

Water From Your Eyes‘ music attempts to convey fatalism and folly to the sound of heart-pounding rhythms and absurdist lyrics about personal and social unrest. Their experimental pop music is beautiful and violent, raw and indelible. With Everyone’s Crushed, Brown and Amos try to map the boundary between humor and darkness.

SUPPORT: PinkYellow

PinkYellow’s beat-driven pop songs suck you straight into another universe. With a shared fascination with the constant flow of decisions and the search for meaning amidst chaos, producer Cas Samson and Wouter Mol dove into the studio. They sculpted their unique sound into a powerful outlet: introspective reflections supported by layered rhythms and pulsating bass lines. Poetic and unsettling at the same time. Ominous, but danceable.

“ This is music that resists logic, that invites questions like: Where am I? What the fuck is going on? “
