“The Dutch Frank Zappa.” That is how Lucky Fonz III dubbed Thor Kissing in a 3voor12 clip on the Edison Awards red carpet. And although the music is incomparable, he certainly is in terms of originality *and* productivity. After all, Thor Kissing has been your favorite musician and favorite madman for 20 albums now, and his 21st album, ‘guitenstreken’, set to be released in December, confirms this once again.

Guitenstreken will be presented on December 9th at PAARD Cafe, during a special evening centered on this artist, around whom the Dutch music scene has been buzzing for quite some time. It will be a celebration of the extraordinary talent Thor possesses, and all those wacky yet moving songs. During this evening, which is entirely dedicated to ‘guitenstreken’, Kissing will perform mainly new work, naturally interspersed with weird indie pop classics like HAMERTJE TIK, Obtylan, Disco 54, and many more.

Harry Merry sounds like Harry Merry, and no one else sounds like Harry Merry. This Rotterdam musician has been touring extensively throughout Europe and the United States for over 25 years.

Harry can rightfully be called a living legend. Ariel Pink covered Merry’s “Stevie Storm”, Harry had a regular segment on Man Bijt Hond, and HollandDoc broadcast a documentary about Harry on national television. And now, finally, a new record: “The Darker side of chasing a dream”. A live performance by this brilliant musician might leave you somewhat confused, but it is guaranteed to put a big smile on your face.

Joris Anne is a singer-songwriter and producer of unique Dutch-language songs. In doing so, he draws on a wide variety of influences and instruments, ranging from folk with acoustic guitar to rave with 909 kicks and ripping synths.

In Joris Anne’s live shows, sensitive personal songs about life and love alternate with dancefloor bangers about drink, weed, and not giving a damn about anything. Joris Anne is also part of the illustrious electrogabberpunk trio DOMTUIG, together with Thor Kissing and Mavah Dansrijk. Besides ’90s dance music, Joris Anne is also inspired by Lucky Fonz III, with whom he collaborated on the track ‘Kwantumwetenschapper’, and by Armand, whom he has known since he was 6 years old.
