They are known to make one big party on stage, they seem to be one of the best live bands in the rock, and 30 years back in time, they were one of the headlines of the California roots scene: the rockabillytrio The Paladins! These men from San Diego knew how to bring their own unique twist on their rockabilly sound by adding 50’s blues and jazz. ‘Lover’s rock’ evolved into culthit, but actually there is no song that does not swing or groove; every song is brought with a playful pleasure that drips from passion.

A golden voice, beautiful shuffles/ licks / riffs on guitar and the most beautiful strokes on the contrabass: these musicians know how to make great rockabilly music. Dutch roots-fans embraced The Paladins, and in return the band loves the Dutch fans: In 2008, the band even released the record ‘Live in Holland’. This year, the band released their new record ‘New World’. They took a few different musical turns influenced by Soul and Gospel and the critics loved it, they all gave it five stars.

The last time the men from The Paladins were at Paard was back in 2012. It is time to put on your petticoats and leather jackets and reinvent the perfect greaser for a great rockabilly night!
