The Essex Green is a neo-pyschedelic popgroup from Brooklyn, New York. Jeff Baron, Sasha Bell and Chris Ziter are specialised in writing high quality songs that are in line with 60’s and 70’s traditions like The Left Banke and Fairport Convention. A must-see for lovers of the 60’s sound with folk influences and a dash of country.

The Essex Green derived from a collective that arose in the 90’s and was named Elephant 6 back then. They released their debut EP, which left them in the same catergorie as Neutral Milk Hotel, A Hawk and a Hacksaw, Of Montreal and The Ladybug Transistor. Their albums The Longest Goodbye (2003) and Cannibal Sea (2006) received a lot of positie response and in june 2018 they released the highly appreciated ‘Hardly Electronic’ via Merge Records.
