Taraf de Haïdouks: loosely translated, the bandname means 'the band of respectful robbers'.They have already proved that this name suits them well, by stealing the hearts of the audience at Paard van Troje in 2008.

The nine members (including three accordionists) have been creating extremely exciting Balkan songs for many years already. For these men, there is no other option than turning every situation into one big party.

The band originates from the Romanian village Clejani, which is where they currently reside as well. A logical consequence is the unmistakable presence of Romanian folklore in their musical creations. Their fanbase, however, is stretched wider than you can imagine. The best example of their global fame is the fact that they played a sold out show at the famous Carnegie Hall.

Even though they have been touring all over the world for so long, they are still as humble as ever. Don’t be surprised when they show up in the middle of the crowd before, after, or even during their show.
