Friday 6 May 2022

Please note: this is the new date for Supersister in PAARD (original date was 18 November 2021). Tickets for the old date will remain valid.

The Hague rockband Supersister was one of the most popular Dutch acts in the seventies. The band formed around Robert Jan Stips started at their local highschool and grew to be one of the most famous bands of that time. Famous enough to play the main stage of the very first popfestival in The Netherlands, the Holland Pop Festival in Rotterdam (featuring: Pink Floyd, The Byrds and Mungo Jerry, among others). Afterwards the band kept the legendary status, with songs like ‘She Was Naked’ and ‘Radio’. Now, many years later, Stips still tours the whole country with the Supersister Projekt.

Supersister skipped 2020 for obvious reasons. That was a pity cause in 2019 they released the new LP Retsis Repus and the documentary ‘De Tovenaar van de Nederpop’ (The Nederpop Wizard). Nevertheless the band will tour again in october 2021. A tour where they vary new and old material and even some Sweet Okay Supersister-songs. Also will they release the book Looking Back, Naked in the end of 2020. The ultimate biography of the band wich will count more than 950 pages. With the special SP21 band, Stips will play a show filled with old songs and new classics. An enjoyment for the fan of the olden days and the younger lover of The Hague pride.

Een van de meest onderschatte hoofdstukken in de vaderlandse popgeschiedenis is toch wel Supersister
