Jamaica is moving onto new and exciting times in the reggae and dub scene. And the fans all agree: Protoje is a big part of the reliving, also called ‘The Reggae Revival’. As a leader of the super fanatic band ‘The Indiggnation’, Protoje (a.k.a. Oje Ken Ollivierre) knows how to touch the hearts of his fans with his philosophic, straight to the point lyrics about anger, love and the fear that lives in this generation under a beat from roots riddim’s to ska and lovely grooves.

With 3 studio albums in his pocket, Protoje and his Indiggnation have multiple sold-out tours in England, America and Europe and knew how reach the BBC Hot Lost with multiple hits as ‘Rasta Love’ and ‘Kingston Be Wise’ where he blew away the crowd at festivals like  Glastonbury, Coachella, Reading & Leeds and Boomtown with. Not the smallest names, and no reason for the Jamaican to rest. His single Blood Money was released in 2017 which was a hot topic, seen the political charge of the song. It immediately reached the Number One Reggae Song of 2017 by Jamaican Radio Personality. On his newest single Bout:Noon, you hear relaxed R&B guitars and hip hop influences besides his melodic dub bass lines. Which makes us very curious to the new show with The Indiggnation in Paard on November 6th.
