Back in 2016 twenty one year old Pip Blom decided to put her own edgy, indie-pop songs in the internet. That was the right decision, because quickly after the songwriter got thousands of plays and she was almost immediately forced to jump get on stage to perform her songs. She’s not the only one in her family who’s into music, because her brother Tender joined the band as a guitarist and backing vocalist. Not much later Pip Blom performed at Noorderslag, the Great Espace and toured with Franz Ferdinand and The Breeders as a support act.

Not only the crowds but also the press is really amazed by the Amsterdam-based band. Vice called her a ‘Rising Star of 2018’ and English press BBC Radio complimented her with words as ‘excellent’ and ‘the ultimate perfect pop’. After a year of big shows, mainly through England, the band will be back in The Netherlands to charm our own crowds. On September 27th she’ll be performing at Paard.

Personal Trainer is a pop/rock band based around Willem Smit. The always changing live line-up exists mainly of Amsterdam faces that you may know from Canshaker Pi, Pip Blom, Steve French, Teddy’s Hit, The Klittens, Torii, Very Good Friends, Fuz, Global Charming and more. Their first single ‘The Lazer/Stormchaser Of The Month’ came out May 31st by Holm Front, the label of the English band Sports Team. Personal Trainer played with different formations at Grasnapolsky, Le Mini Who?, Best Kept Secret, Loose Ends and more Dutch festivals.
