Having started this October, Kings Cross, LifeLoan and MORÈL are joining forces for a three-bill tour that promises to be an unforgettable experience for electro-pop lovers. The tour will take these diverse yet complementary bands across Randstad cities, where each band brings their unique sound and style to the stage. On the 14th of November, Paardcafé will host the three bands, accompanied by local vocal trio SAGE. Whether you’re a fan of electronic-infused beats, hard-rock vibes, or genre exceeding poetry, this tour has something for everyone.
Kings Cross brings an energetic mix of pop, rock, hard rock and funk. This results in a versatile and compelling sound, while creating their own pigeonhole within the genres. After their musical debut last year, 2024 marks the release of their 2nd EP: DISK. With DISK, Kings Cross seeks to introduce a new genre called DISKOROCK, which can be described as danceable pop/rock music.
LifeLoan‘s music is full of contrasts, vacillating between lyrical singer-songwriter piano ballads and intricately produced dark electro pop songs inspired by artists such as James Blake and Imogen Heap.
MORÈL makes alternative pop for outcasts . MORÈL writes songs based on personal experiences in her life to help others understand . she shows a new sound in the music scene : modern yet harking back to earlier musical genres . MORÈL is poetic , edgy and rebellious . She takes you on the journey of being different with her riotous songs towards self-acceptance .
The vocal trio ‘Sage’ sings jazz classics and their own compositions in the atmosphere of the dreamy jazz of the 20th century . There seems to be a revival going on around the multi-voiced jazz repertoire, made famous by such famous artists as Ella Fitzgerald, The Andrew Sisters, The Pied Pipers and in later times the Manhattan Transfer. Three students at Rotterdam’s Codarts Conservatory, Lara Dovier, Anne-Roos Broekhuizen and Nena Jeltema, are stepping into that tradition of singing true jazz classics in polyphonic arrangements, seeking to keep that music’s preservation and relevance alive.
This is a free show, you only need to register by claiming a free ticket.
