Paardcafé: Magazines

Magazines is a punchy post-punk trio with an unstoppable urge to tear everything up. Their songs are raw, honest, and bursting with adrenaline; the result of three people who do everything themselves and don’t wait around for anything or anyone.

With a high-energy sound full of attitude, they channel that youthful sense of freedom once found in CDs, comics, and magazines; a form of escapism where anything felt possible.
But their songs don’t just look back, they push forward. They are uncompromising, explosive anthems that hit straight to the core.

The band has already played a great many shows that include Suikerrock, Zwarte Cross, a sold-out Paradiso, major Flemish venues (as support for Pommelien Thijs), and toured across the UK and Asia. They’ve also repeatedly gotten the #1 position in the Dutch Indie Charts with their latest singles ánd are getting constant airplay on KINK (The Netherlands’ biggest rock & alternative radio station). 

This year, the group is selected for Popronde, a travelling festival that takes over 40 cities throughout The Netherlands.
