LAURA PALMER + Lifeless Past

Om dit concert te bezoeken is een geldig corona toegangsbewijs nodig.

Due to the CODE RED storm-situation, this concert is rescheduled for March 19th. Tickets remain valid.

Laura Palmer was formed in The Hague in the year 2012. The band’s name Laura Palmer wasn’t only chosen because she was the main character in one of the best television series ever made. No, also to deceive people thinking Laura Palmer is one of those singer/songwriter kind of galls. Of course she is not! Laura Palmer combines layered guitars in melodic songs. Alternating with drones and soundscapes, the four-piece band produces a sound that reminds you of shoegaze from the early 90’s. But that’s not all, influences from contemporary post-rock can also be heard. This style of music is also known as nu-gaze.

What happens if you lock up three dinosaurs for a year during a pandemic? They will long for a time when they were stomping on the stage every week. Ten years ago, Pitch Blond musically represented The Hague at the SXSW festival in Austin, TX. And now more than ever, the band feels like playing together and performing their dirty rock tunes again. After all, nothing beats decibels and friendship, which started it all.
