Nick Lowe made quite an impression on the industry as a producer for artists like Elvis Costello, Graham Parker, Pretenders and The Damned, and has written many well-known songs. Naming a few: “Cruel To Be Kind”, “(I Love The Sound Of) Breaking Glass”, “The Beast in Me” and “(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love, and Understanding”. He has also had a short career as a pop star, and a notably much longer career as a musician.

Now he has started his ‘second life’ as a grey-haired and sensitive yet vicious singer-songwriter who has set the standard, and set it high. He has written and brought out several amazing albums as a singer-songwriter, from “The Impossible Bird” in 1995 to “The Old Magic” in 2011, which were all recorded in his own home with a core of seasoned musicians. He brings humour and subdued excellence to his performances, which have been described as “elegant and nearly devastating” by The New York Times.
