After several successful Meet The Urban Pro’s network meetings, CultuurSchakel and music venue PAARD are organizing the last edition for the time being. Together they are committed to supporting the Hague Hiphop, R&B and Urban music acts, to create meetings with professionals and to share and increase knowledge with like-minded creatives.
Hip-hop is the most popular youth culture that dominates the charts as well as the streets worldwide. On Wednesday 20 October during The Hague Pop Week, the Meet The Urban Pro’s will discuss the long-term vision of the Hague hip-hop culture and urban scene together with the Hague scene: talent development opportunities, artistic vision and focus, night programming, audience reach, objectives and actions, cultural entrepreneurship and commercial ambitions. What do the makers need and how do the cultural institutions move forward?
With local key figures and trendsetters Bright Nshuti, Conchitta Bottse, Dharmen Nokhai, Frandjescka Ballootje, Joan Biekman, Lee-Roy ”DJ Stiekz”, Mekki Abdel, Nordin Bresling, SABRI, Sherwin Blijd and Thijs van de Poll, it is guaranteed to be an interesting and creative meeting! After Meet The Urban Pro’s you are welcome to be present again at GUAP Night since the lockdown (March 2020). This is the stage for local talent in the field of hip-hop, R&B and urban from The Hague.
