Maria Iskariot still doesn’t have an answer to your questions. However, they extend a damp hand to anyone who has practiced the dance steps to the waltz of the hopeless. The four-headed dog has grown into a gentle monster that celebrates friendship, fades disgust, and underlines life. They delight the world with a brilliant imperfection that is a cheerful protest against ancient evil.

On October 31, 2025, they will release their debut album Wereldwaan, which critics already consider a timeless cult record that holds up the delusions of the day against the light of eternity. For this, they once again collaborate with the label Burning Fik, the Dutch label founded by Faberyayo (De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig) and Abel (Hang Youth). In Spain, the album will be released by Montgri, once again proving that the band’s energy transcends language barriers.

In the meantime, they are bringing down stages all across Europe. After more than 80 shows in 2025, they are busy preparing a release tour in 2026 in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, as well as Spain and France.

“You have to give them one thing. With an average height of 1.70m, they definitely deserve the name Kleinpunk. That also makes them just tall enough to shove the music down your throat. By the way, can we agree that the ‘punk’ part is still up for debate?

Let’s see, how would you best describe them? Dutch-speaking, early-to-bed rock. Spirit-corrupting campfire pop. Well-behaved citizen ballads. Am I running out of words yet? Existential crisis-core. Shoelace funk. Brake-track wave. A musical kick in the ass. I could go on, but I think you get it by now.

They promised me they’d stay polite and keep the barking to a minimum. Because as long as you look past their cult-like tendencies, they’re pretty okay. After all, behind all the silly jokes, there’s a big heart. They’re releasing their very first EP this spring, and they’re really proud of it. And now I really have to go before my words run ou-.”
