LAVINIA MEIJER

Wednesday 20 February 2019 2019

Harpist Lavinia Meijer composed this solo-show because she was eager to find out the possible answer to the question: ‘in what style period do we live? It can’t be postpost-post modernism, right?’ She perfectly blends her personal stories with music coming from the previous decades, starting at the 70’s.

Because of her collaborations with several artists such as Philip Glass, Iggy Pop, Ludovico Einaudi and Laurie Anderson, and her interest in the changes of the artworld, she now couples different forms of art and connects her music to visual arts, the art of writing, spoken word, movies, animations and new electronic experiments.
