L.A. WITCH

Sunday 1 April 2018 2018

The ladies of L.A. Witch don’t do real magic, though with their mysterious and sometimes dark psychedelic garage/surf rock they know how to transport you to a certain place and time, preferably back to the sixties. Their songs have no overdubs, no effects, no studio ticks. Their secret weapon? A lot of reverb, a solid rhythm section and thin sounding guitars.

”Their music echoes Gun Club circa 1984 – twisted then painted with the distorted, gorgeously dark stylings of Sade’s vocals until it’s very much its own creature” – CREATIONS LA

After a few single releases the band toured almost nonstop through the US and in September last year they released their debut album ‘L.A. Witch’. A record full of retro rock, rockabilly vocals and psychedelic guitar solos. On the first of April you can expect all of the above and more when L.A. Witch performs in PaardCafe.
