Sharon Kovacs, aka Kovacs, started early with school bands, talent shows and open mic nights, after which she studied at the Rock City Institute in Eindhoven. She cites Betty Davis, Etta James and Tina Turner as influences. Because of her dark voice, her music is often described as soul or blues.
Support: Morpheus
Amsterdam-based singer-songwriter Morpheus makes his debut this year with his EP ‘Morphosis,’ drawing inspiration from Jacques Brel and Kate Bush. After the unexpected loss of his mother, he turned to music for strength and wisdom. This results in a profound and intimate EP recorded in a single take, believing that beauty lies in capturing the moment rather than perfection.
