Dutch/Norwegian band Klangstof mix contagious melodies with synthesizers and beats. The trio from Amsterdam got worldwide attention with their debut album Closed Eyes To Exit. The album has a beautiful and subdued sound in which electronic music, postrock and synthpop melt together. Klangstof toured with Flaming Lips, Miike Snow and Jagwar Ma. It was the first Dutch band to play at the biggest American music festivals like Coachella and Bonnaroo. On March 7th 2020 the indie formation will play at PAARD.

Upcoming album The Noise You Make Is Silent brings versatility, playfulness and impulsivity. The three musicians circulated around a table of loop pedals, laptops, synths and drum machines in Los Angeles for two months. As a resident of one of the smallest countries in one of the largest cities, Van de Wardt came to a funny sense: if you live according to your own pace and conditions you will naturally become a lot happier. The Noise You Make Is Silent therefore is a record that is all about breaking free of all beaten paths.
