Since the founding of Smutfish, the band around singer and songwriter Melle de Boer has been a popular act on the Dutch americana circuit. The beautiful lyrics and typical music match well with De Boer’s special voice. Old-fashioned folky music with lyrics that reflect newer existentialism. Smutfish has already toured the country as support act for Daniel Johnston and played at Noorderslag, South By Southwest, Popkomm in Berlin and Crossing Border (for which Melle traditionally provides the artwork). On December 24 the band will be in PAARD with a unique Christmas show, with guests.
