Not one, not two, but three metal bands tonight! Grimner, Waylander, and Vansind take the stage of the Kleine Zaal for an evening full of folk metal! On February 17, Grimner covers it all: from Scandinavian folk music to melodic death metal and even classic heavy metal. Waylander brings the perfect mix of Irish folk music and extreme metal, while Vansind captivates the audience with their take on folk metal, combining female vocals with male grunts.

Grimner (SE)
The Swedish Vikings of Grimner bring a delightful mix of folk and metal. Everything comes into play: from Scandinavian folk music to melodic death metal and even classic heavy metal. The band sings in their own language about Norse gods, bygone times, and Swedish folklore. The new album “Stormvingar” is a highlight in the band’s rich career. The album ushers in a new era. After a period of absence, Grimner is ready to perform all their classics live. Grimner is back, and how!

WAYLANDER (IE)
The veterans of Waylander are returning to mainland Europe with a new album in tow. Back in 1993, the Irish folk metal band released their first demo. Later, the band made a name for themselves in the metal scene with their mix of Irish folk music and extreme metal. Waylander found a home with bigger record labels and played all over Europe at major festivals and awesome tours. In recent years, the band has been sailing smoother waters. But a new storm is brewing, bringing Waylander back to the European mainland!

VANSIND (DK)
In a short time, Vansind has grown into a real crowd favorite. The Danes convincingly present their folk metal, with female vocals and male grunts perfectly alternating. Live, the band performs with a bagpipe on stage, which adds extra festive cheer. In the Netherlands, the band also has a rapidly growing fan base thanks to successful shows at March Into Walhalla and Occultfest. Vansind has all the ingredients to become a big name!
