FINK

Monday 4 December 2017 2017

Fink Greenall started his career as a DJ, but soon saw his strength in writing subtle, yet atmospheric folk and blues songs. Driven by electronic beats, his music is enigmatic, sexy, exciting, but comfortable as a perfect fit seated sweater.

Fink likes to evolve small, subtle songs, into dark, intriguing songs. The artist from Cornwall has still been able to score with his typical Fink formula since his successful album ‘Biscuits for Breakfast’. Yet, his sound has developed in recent years. No longer relying on his characteristic voice and guitar base, he is starred in the studio through his band with O. Tim Thornton and Guy Whittaker. This not only produces a fuller sound, but also delivers more musical depths.

New Album Resurgam

On the 15th of September Fink released their new studio album Resurgam, Latin for ‘’I will rise again’’.  Fink about this new chapter: “A life in music is all about little victories – the first record, the first sell-out show, the first ‘bus’ tour… if you get through these challenges, new benchmarks always appear”.

After a series of sold out shows, Fink is now coming to The Hague.

Support: Film

Fink chose to showcase a short movie before their performance:

“The film is a collection of fun & interesting footage curated by Fink themselves, featuring favourite footage from music history, performance & interviews. It is not a narrative, but a collection of clips that are of interest to the band. Fink hopes it will be the same for others too.”

“ Resurgam is net als Hard Believer een groeibriljant; een plaat die zich niet in een keer laat vangen. “
