In 2027, that stage takes on extra meaning. Guitarist, songwriter, and producer Guido Joseph will play his last shows with the band. After the concerts at AFAS Live, Chef’Special will take a period of reflection and look towards the future of the band. After almost twenty years, five albums, countless festivals, and performances in the biggest venues in the Netherlands, Chef’Special is hitting the road one last time together in the spring of 2027. The band will play a final club tour in its original lineup, as a lead-up to two sold-out shows at AFAS Live on April 16 and 17, where everything comes together.

Since the five friends from Haarlem hopped into The Mrs. in their Volkswagen bus in 2008, Chef’Special has grown into one of the most recognizable and energetic live bands in the Netherlands. From small clubs to Lowlands, Pinkpop, and Concert at SEA, and from Red Rocks to Madison Square Garden: everywhere the band plays, that distinctive mix of euphoria, musicality, and connection between the band and the audience emerges. With albums like One For The Mrs., Passing Through, Amigo, Unfold, and New Gold, Chef’Special built its own musical universe where pop, rock, funk, reggae, and hip hop come together effortlessly. But in the end, the stage has always been the place to be.
