BORIS GREBENSHIKOV: Benefit concert for Ukraine

Benefit concert for Ukraine

Thursday 2 June 2022 8377

All the profit from the concert will be donated to Zeilen van Vrijheid. The plan is to raise enough to buy and equip ambulance vehicles, load them with medical supplies and deliver to the hospitals working in the war zone.

In 2022 the legendary band “Aquarium” was planning to celebrate 50 years of their music. The war in Ukraine put an end to these plans, as it did to many others. It is no time for celebrations, so “Aquarium” made a decision to stop all the concert activity and cancel or postpone all the planned performances.Yet it is hard to survive in silence, completely without music, a temporary partisan lineup of “BG+” was assembled – specifically for the charity concerts against the Russian aggression in Ukraine. These lineup includes Alexander Titov (bass), Brian Finnegan (flute), Konstantin Tumanov (keyboards and accordion), and other members of the Aquarium joining them for particular performances.

“BG+” is going to perform as much as possible, in many different places, hoping that their music will help healing the wounds caused by today’s nonsense – as much as it possibly can.The concert program includes songs – both very old and completely new, – that should be sung at this very moment.
