“Why don’t we start our own ska band?” With these legendary words, Andere Koek! saw the light of life. A band was formed soon after with an energetic frontman, screeching guitars, grooving rhythms and of course the indispensable brass. The first shows were played at parties of housemates and friends, but soon the entirety of the Netherlands wanted to discover this new ska sensation. Where initially ska was the main engine, punk soon made its appearance. After that everything went fast: literally and figuratively. The recognizable sound was formed and further enriched with reggae and an edge of filth. Bangers rolled off the assembly line one by one.

Andere Koek! – with exclamation mark – is a Dutch party machine. Most of the Netherlands and part of Belgium have been completely demolished in more than 150 shows. With support acts for bands such as the Suburban Legends, Jaya the Cat and Hoffmaestro, these eight men and women are not to be taken for less than their great examples. This band combines energetic ska-punk and an edge of filth into a danceable package. With their catchy performance, even your grandmother will dance out of her chair!
